It is compelling to add stories to a speech because it increases the emotional connection and allows for bonding. It also provides a more descriptive and somewhat physical aspect to what someone is attempting to inform their audience about. I tend to fall back on this as my first method of explanation. I remember getting a paper that I thought I was going to do a horrible thing on; when I realized this I was in awe of the grade. “I got a B,” I thought to myself. Upon further examination I noticed a small note from the teacher, "your assignment was lacking in many areas but your stories allowed for a good connection." I was elated to have done so well, and I owe it all to my storytelling ability
