All the external details are there, but what about the details of Okonkwo's personal life? Yes, he may be dead but that didn't stop the writer from talking about the big tail. Okonkwo's life was taken out of context so that this writing would be relevant. The writer even wrote the first copy in English instead of his native language. The entire validity of the story is questionable at first glance. Ultimately one would question the authenticity of this story. Why should we care about the authenticity of such a story? The story of Things Fall Apart focuses on tiny details to assure the audience that the source of this information is valid. I say those tiny details were put in place after the colonization of Africa so they could have a story to tell. This would nevertheless affect the holiness of the African Oberika tribe and the holiness of Okonkwo. Altering someone's story to suit your needs is one of the worst things to do and has been done time and time again throughout history. So what's stopping them from doing it once again?
