Topic > Theme of feminism in the song Tra Bong love

As stated by Feminist Magazine “[the feminist movement is] committed to creating a world in which peace prevails, with social/economic justice and compassion, in which we all have equal rights and where differences are honoured, respected and celebrated rather than persecuted, judged or even tolerated” (Feminist Magazine, paragraph 8). In simpler terms, the goal of feminism is to create a world where everyone is equal. One where you are not judged based on your gender. This applies to the stories I listed. In The Yellow Wallpaper the woman finally emerges from the wallpaper and frees herself from the paper bars. She no longer needs John and can finally be herself. In the story of The Sweetheart of Song Tra Bong Mary Anne doesn't need Mark Fossie to tell her how to live her life. She, too, became herself by living in the forest and using the knowledge she learned from the Green Berets and local villagers. So now that I've told you about the feminism in both stories, it's now up to you to decide which version you want to see the stories. You can take the feminist side or you could take the side of both women and that's it
