This essay will examine the following statement in relation to the proposed reforms in the Health and Social Care Act 2011 "Funding and delivering high quality health and social care services is challenging for all governments, regardless of political beliefs” I will provide an overview of the bill and investigate through critical analysis recommendations in the bill for the clinically led commission. This will enable me to illustrate the problems in providing the high quality care service that changing society needs and the challenges this poses for policy makers who support the ideology of the NHS. The bill states that “To safeguard its future, the National Health Service must change to meet the challenges it faces: only by modernizing can the National Health Service tackle the problems of today and avoid a crisis tomorrow” (Health and social assistance 2011).
