The department has more than $30 million in inventory. The department's annual budget exceeds $25 million. The monetary benefits are all used to support a constant commitment to protect citizens and their assets. The plan is to buy many of the vehicles and equipment with money the department stopped making record-breaking drug seizures. Additionally, the Mississippiville Police Department will host a fully staffed, trained and equipped bomb squad, also paid for with drug cessation money. With this new asset to the company, this multi-million dollar team could respond to more than twenty-five support requests. The bomb squad will provide reliable information on improvised explosive devices or suspicious objects.
