Topic > Outlier Success and Success: The Success Story

It's also not something you can achieve by simply putting in a little effort. My personal view of success is quite similar to Gladwell's. I feel like he's right about how success is achieved. I think success has a lot to do with where someone comes from, when they were born, what their values are and how many resources they have at their disposal. For example, I believe my close relative Kevin is considered a successful person. Kevin has been playing football since he could run. He was one of the best quarterbacks in the state of Pennsylvania and broke many records at Kutztown University. But that's not all, he also holds a master's degree in law and is today a spectacular and respected lawyer. Not only has he worked hard to become the person he is today, but there is so much more to him. Kevin has the perfect height of six feet one inch and was born on February 6th. He comes from a wealthy Christian-Catholic family. He lived near the high school football field and a couple blocks from a library. He had many opportunities to improve his football skills and also to study at the community library. It has maintained excellent ratings and has definitely surpassed the ten thousand hour mark. Kevin was genuinely passionate about football, he trained hard in and out of official training. Later in his high school career he discovered a love for the law and I think the work he put in to get to where he is now was really important.
