In this essay I intend to tell you more about director Dennis Dungan. First I will tell you about his childhood. Who was Dennis raised by? Where he grew up. What kind of education did he have and where did he go. Secondly, I intend to talk about his personal life, which he married if he had children. I will also describe his work and what success he has had in his career. Third, share what I learned about those who influenced him. The award he received during his career in the films he directed. Dennis Dugan was born on September 5, 1946. He was the son of Marion and Charles Dugan. Dennis was born in Wheaton, Illinois. Dad was an insurance salesman. He was the second of four boys. His mother Marion was a stay-at-home mom, a stay-at-home wife. Dennis had three brothers. Much of Dennis' childhood was growing up in Wheaton, Illinois. Dennis graduated from Wheaton Central High School in early 1960. Dennis was very likeable in school and was known to be popular. He was very involved in acting in high school, this is where he got hooked. Once he graduated he attended the Goodman Theater school in Chicago. He graduated from the Theater School in 1969. After graduation he moved to New York City where he became involved with Broadway. During this time he starred in "A Man's Man" and "The House of Blue Leaves" on Broadway. In 1973 Dennis married actress Joyce Van Pattern. They were married until 1987. Dennis later married Sharon O'Connor. In 1990 the couple had a son named Kelly Dugan. Kelly Dugan was about 8 years old when he was used as an extra in a scene in "Big Daddy." Dugan was one of the kids acting in a school play. Like any father Dennis, I hope his son follows in his footsteps, but instead... halfway... I've worked well on many projects. Another major influence for Dennis was Gary Martin. Gary is the head of Sony productions. Dennis and Gary worked together. Dennis and his work work well together. Gary is quoted as saying about Dennis, “If there are problems, he is always willing to work with the firm.” Gary respected Dennis' professionalism which makes for a great work environment. Dennis Dugan has not won an Oscar for his direction at this point. In 2012 he won the Razzel prize. In 2000 and 2008 he won the award for worst director. Some of the films he directed, such as Jack and Jill, won the Razzel Award. In closing, Dennis Dugan has had a very successful career. His films have grossed over $1 billion. Keep looking for the next project. I'm sure we will see more films directed by him. Dennis Dugan has many years ahead of him
