Year-round school is a bad idea not only for students, but also for parents and teachers. There are more than 3,181 year-round schools in the United States alone, and only 10% of children attend them. Basically, year-round school will not provide academic success. Some teachers and principals believe it will not have a positive effect on children. According to teachers, “Most children need a summer off from school.” The annual school timetable usually lasts 6 to 9 weeks with 2 or 3 weeks of breaks. Year-round school is simply too much for students.
