In John 16:5-15 Jesus promises to send help to comfort and advise us. In John 16, Jesus refers to the spirit as a counselor who will guide us in our daily lives. The Christian experience is that we are called by God to join together in a church where we share the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including prudence and judgment. 6.Finally the power of prayer! God imparts wisdom and understanding through prayer. If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask him and he will gladly tell you. James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” Making use of God's counsel is a blessing of prayer. 7. Ethical dilemmas will always thrive where people choose to live in the tension between what is and what things should be. May our Christian faith provide the light we need to find the answers so that whatever we do, we do it to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians
