She made storytelling her second job and loved making children laugh. He sells his food at the market during the day and tells stories at night. Sometimes the children would walk miles away just to come and sit by the fire and listen to my grandmother tell stories about the different types of people she meets on her journey. The children and younger adults milled around the fire. My grandmother stood in the middle in front of the drummers and everyone focused their eyes on her. Everyone was quiet as if they were watching their favorite TV show at home. Kids were running around like it was Halloween and trick-or-treating in the streets. The children love listening to my grandmother's stories and learning lessons from her stories. My grandmother was a source of inspiration to the people of her village and one could say that she was the voice in the wilderness that speaks for everyone.
