Today students are marching for free tuition. “Importantly, current tuition rates are inflated because schools raise the sticker price in order to subsidize institutional financial aid for low-income students and to provide merit aid for wealthy, high-scoring students” ( Samuels). So basically they try to get everything they can from the more affluent students, but some low-income students can't get enough financial aid to survive. Thus making it difficult for low-income students to get the right education they are paying for. It forces them to get one or two jobs, slowing down their education. That being said this is why we need free lessons. The more people get an education, it would be fair to everyone, whether they are rich or poor. We can look at Finland because they have free tuition and have been successful. “There are five main components of Finland's success: all education has become public and free; teachers were well paid and highly qualified; education has become interactive and experiential; students at an early age received individual attention; and in high school, students could choose whether they wanted to follow a vocational path or an academic path” (Samuels). For example, by making education free, all financial stress has been eliminated
