Cell phones are a distraction. Distract yourself and others around you from learning. Students are constantly checking their devices every second, whether taking a selfie or texting and maybe cheating. Cheating is teachers' greatest fear. Cheating on a test is very dishonest and can lead to serious consequences. Students may also use cell phones illegally. Illegal actions are such; sexting, bullying through text messaging, pornography, and/or it could simply be pictures of people without their permission. With these actions, students having cell phones can be so scary and dangerous and can cause harm. A school should be a safe environment where students can receive an education and succeed in life. It will take trials and years to get to the point where there are fewer cell phones in classrooms to create education in the lives of students and teachers.
