My mother is a brave woman because of how brave she is in my different situations. For example, when I was in first grade, our current house burned down. We lost everything: clothes, jewelry, toys, family photos and everything you could think of. Even when this happened, my mother was brave. She didn't let the fact that our house was destroyed by fire affect her and disappoint her because she knew she had to be strong for me and my brother. This is what heroes do for others. While there may be a million reasons to be angry, heroes don't let anything faze them. Heroes know that they must be strong not only for themselves but also for the people who mean the most to them. My mother is a courageous and strong woman. A hero is always positive. My mother is a positive person and her positivity stands out. When I was in eighth grade I was injured in the face by a line dive right under the eye during my softball game. I was the only person on my team in that role. The game was interrupted while I was checking out. Usually the mother of an injured athlete gets really worried and freaks out. Not my mother, she was always positive and smiling, saying everything would be fine. Then he told me his famous phrase: “Oh, rub some dirt on it and hold it
