My colleagues and I found ourselves in a very similar situation. Often a client will ask us if we can take something off a mannequin for them and it seems strange, but it's actually one of my favorite parts of my job. I can stand on tables or a ladder and take the mannequin apart and then figure out what clothes I want to wear in it next. It's surprisingly fun. During a busy week, two of my colleagues, Stephanie and Molly, and I were trying to change a dress on a mannequin in one of our less busy contemporary sections. The hardest parts of a mannequin to detach are the arms. Everyone is attached differently, so it just takes a second or two longer. When Stephanie grabbed an arm to remove it, the mannequin's hand fell and broke two fingers, the index finger and the ring, leaving the middle finger. sticking upwards. This immediately made us burst out laughing, but when she bent down to take her hand, white powder flew at us. A surprising amount came out of the two missing fingers and covered the front of our black t-shirts
