The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA Dubai) was established in November 2005. It is responsible for the development, planning and execution of transportation projects traffic and transportation systems in the city of Dubai. It is also responsible for planning and providing transportation between Dubai and other states of the UAE and neighboring countries. RTA's main tasks also include preparing legislation, developing rules and projects along with road systems and maritime networks that are safe and economical with the highest international standards. Dubai, being among the most developed international cities, makes it necessary for the government to provide high-quality infrastructure facilities. To this end, RTA was established to provide an advanced transportation network for the people of Dubai and improve public transportation facilities by improving roads across the emirate to make travel safer and easier. Primary Responsibilities of RTA: • Bus Transport • Taxi Transport • Inter-City Transport • Road Engineering and Development • Vehicle Registration • Driving License • Driving License • Road Decoration and Advertising • Parking • Dubai MetroRTA is committed to achieving the highest levels of quality in its services/products and to continuously improve them to achieve the RTA vision of “safe and smooth transport for all” The Dubai RTA is “ISO 9001:2008 QMS certified” and works in line with the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP ) to ensure its effectiveness within quality objectives. INTRODUCTION AND EVOLUTION OF AUTOMATED VEHICLE MANAGEMENT (AVM) TECHNOLOGY The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is determined to use the latest technology to provide transport more convenient and comfortable to the people of Du...... half of the card..... Every time they use the subway, they instead use NOL cards which are filled with cash and can be recharged at any time they want. The metro reduces the use of cars and saves the environment from pollution caused by gases released by cars, etc. Since the launch of SALIK, it has been a success and has helped Dubai in many ways. It has reduced traffic especially at morning road junctions. Every vehicle should have a SALIK mark especially if it will travel on roads where it is necessary. There is one disadvantage of SALIK which we didn't like: if a person goes through SALIK gate every day, it will cost him a lot and that's why RTA launched Dubai Metro. We hope to see more of it in the future. projects not only in Dubai but in all the emirates because they will help control traffic, protect people's lives and clean the environment.
