Topic > Capitalism: A Love Story by Michael Moore - 965

Michael Moore used comedic tactics as a way to draw his audience into this piece of literature. Michael Moore's thesis is that capitalism is destroying the nation's economy rather than helping it develop. The poor suffer, while the richer get richer. The arguments used by Moore may not be considered tangible by everyone, but he certainly had the evidence to support his thesis. Michael Moore's aim was to expose this revolutionary issue of corporate American dominance through video. He used the web source as a source to spread his message because he knew that the Internet would be accessible to many people. Moore in this film used several elements of reasoning to identify the message he was sending to his audience. Moore speculated about what the government and banks might do with American workers' hard-earned tax money. While making assumptions, he went on to find evidence of a possible explanation for the issue at hand. He implied that big banks were partly to blame, a statement he knew many people would fall back on. Moore believed that America was in a problematic state because the ideology of capitalism is ingrained within us. He believed that the people of this nation had become immune to capitalist America without knowing it. Much of his evidence that the United States is based on capitalism came from the different places he went and the people Moore talked to. Michael Moore and his video crew traveled to several places, such as Pennsylvania, to locate people's money. . While in some of those states, he discovered that the government was robbing people of their money, and then foreclosing on their homes... middle of paper... his death. The comedic tactics he used to engage the audience. Michael Moore did not want to bore the public with all the political terms that he himself sometimes could not understand. The slippery slope topic was present in this film when talking about capitalism; Moore went back in history to the time of Franklin Roosevelt and showed that this collapse of the economy would happen sooner or later. Michael Moore showed us that capitalism has created a domino effect. In my opinion the film can be justified in everything that has been said because it had different element motivations. He had the right information, even from the same political sources, made good implications and hypotheses and drew inclusive conclusions. Works Cited Moore, Michael, dir. Capitalism: a love story.
