Hollywood's Effect on Youth“We need to stop messing with this. I know this stuff sells, but that doesn't make it right” (Clinton). Bill Clinton is right about this. Some movies have so much action that kids are getting violent because they've seen too many bad movies. Some parents even let their kids watch R-rated movies, when they would have to be seventeen to watch them, even though they can teach you to do good things. Hollywood movies teach young people to do bad things because some movies teach young people that it is okay to smoke or drink because Hollywood movies set a bad example. Movies that set a bad example for kids are the ones we need to get rid of. If we don't get rid of them, children will start causing problems at school, on the streets and at home. At school if their parents have weapons at home they could take them and kill other children, on the street they can do this and more, at home they can sneak out or get detention very often. It is not good to exert this kind of influence on children, if we continue like this there will be an increase in crime in this world. When a crime is committed they don't just say “Ok we'll give you a warning and if it happens again you'll go to prison”. If the world were to come to this, I would be really mad, and I think everyone in this world would be mad. Some films are directed at portraying violent crimes committed against women and the use of alcohol and alcohol. tobacco was glamorous or fashionable. It makes me angry when people do it that way because it shouldn't be that way. “Cinema is art and art is influence” (Davis). This quote is very true: movies influence us in a way that... middle of paper... also influences people. Some children will look up to an actor or actress and want to be just like them and that can change people. An actor or actress can change their appearance and it can also be a bad appearance and if someone's child admires it, the child may change his behavior. Hollywood truly has an impact on society, whether positive or negative, and it will affect our children if we don't do something about it.
