People nowadays have made many technological and scientific advancements in the world. As they advance with these advancements, they tend to believe that nature and humans are separate from each other. People forget how they are connected. They spend most of their time with man-made technologies rather than nature, but nature is an integral part of human life. And as EF Schumacher states in his book "Small is Beautiful", humans are meant to think they are separate from nature, but they are not. In this critical essay I will favor his thinking. I will distinguish between Human and Nature. Through this observation, I will demonstrate that humans are part of nature and need it for reasons such as their health, development and well-being. Humans need nature for their health. Frances Kuo is a professor of natural resources, environmental science, and psychology at Illinois. Scientist Kuo and her colleagues state that “humans living in arid landscapes experience a variety of negative social effects such as decreased civility, less supervision of children outdoors, more illegal activities, more aggression, more crimes against heritage, more vagrancy, more graffiti and more.” waste” (“Nature essential for health” 2009). Human life in a natural environment is healthier than living in arid lands. Man receives fresh air from nature and people feel calmer in the natural environment. People become less aggressive, less criminal and civilized. Only with the help of nature can he achieve peace and good health. So, every human being should try to understand nature. “Dr. Wells, an environmental psychologist, states that "natural green spaces foster social interaction and promote social support... middle of paper... if nature is there."
