I think Ted Bundy fits Beccaria's theory, he based his theory on the pain-pleasure principle. He thought the cause of criminal behavior was that people try to do whatever gives them pleasure to avoid what causes them pain. I believe Ted Bundy suffered when he found out that his grandparents and mother lied to him for half his life. He also suffered when his first love didn't want to marry him and broke his heart.
