There are several issues that might arise due to the different origins such as difference in language, culture, performance, time zones etc. Virtual teams have solid business reasoning. Virtual teams can be formed quickly and are reactive in nature. These teams can help organizations reduce their reaction times to changes in today's competitive and turbulent markets. These organizations are also able to influence dispersed expertise in previously untapped topographical regions. Additionally, virtual teams can also benefit employees as they reduce disruption in the worker's life by requiring less travel time to meet with dispersed teams. Additionally, team members have the opportunity to broaden their understanding by working across organizations and cultures. On the other hand, the ability of people to work together despite distance, time and/or organizational limitations increases the complication and risk that the team will be ineffective in achieving its objectives.
