In today's world, power is accessed through a country's stockpile of weapons and technology. Even if weapons tend to destroy and technology sometimes loses the simplicity of the past. However, words are a universal tool that helps a person communicate, relate, understand and express their thoughts. it can also incite and inspire a revolution or teach a person about the past. Literature is a cultural collection of works from an era that allows the reader to explore an individual's artistic expression. Literary writings on the surface entertain, inform, encourage, and inspire. However, literary works also reflect the author and give the reader an idea of ​​his opinions and personality. Lady Jane Gray and Elizabeth I are well-known monarchs of the sixteenth century (book). However, they also wrote important literary writings that have for the most part been overshadowed by their reign. The writings of Queen Elizabeth I and Lady Jane Gray reflect their reign, the difficulties of being women in power, and their personalities. Elizabeth I is considered one of the greatest monarchs of any kingdom. His literary writings are a reflection of his reign. His reign would be long and bring a religiously divided nation with trade problems into an era of religious moderation and prosperity. His political judgments and actions would reflect his intellect as well as the caution and wisdom learned in his early childhood. He would balance the use of male and female attributes to solidify his position on the throne. His speeches reflect his politically savvy and oratory skills in rallying a nation and establishing an emotional connection with the people (1902).
