Is police brutality a problem in America? How can we ask for help from our sworn protectors of our justice and peace if we need police protection ourselves? How can we protect ourselves from these illegal acts of being killed unjustly? Countless deaths have occurred due to the unnecessary use of force and unjustified acts of violence. The real question is who or what is responsible for all the incidents that consequently seem to follow police officers in America on a daily basis, and what can we as a country do to put an end to this injustice? Police brutality has always been present, mostly targeting minorities and people from poor communities. Police brutality occurs when unnecessary force is used on a seriously injured unarmed individual. Also, protect us from harm and that includes police violence. There are several cases of police brutality where some are racially motivated even if they don't admit it; and there are also cases where the officer is in a situation with little or no information and therefore is nervous. Police officers have very stressful jobs, so it is understandable that they could not handle the situation they found themselves in and used an unorthodox method. Many men and women who join law enforcement should be trained to defuse tension and reassure people of their safety, so what happens when the opposite happens? Unfortunately, civilians and officers have lost and will lose their lives simply due to lack of education and training. We have to fix the system because otherwise this nation will be turned upside down because people are losing their rights as human beings. The police have not always had a great relationship with the people, and the situation continues to get worse. As a result there is nothing but hatred and distrust in the police. People will start to take matters into their own hands and it will be chaotic. The police must realize that [all lives matter] because otherwise police lives will cease to matter to us
