Statistics show that 81% of teenagers, between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, have been sexually harassed only at school. The number of teenagers who experience sexual harassment at school is astonishing. 85% of female adolescents experience sexual harassment at school, a slightly higher percentage than the 76% of male adolescents who are harassed(3). One in four girls and one in seven boys are sexually harassed daily (Cooney 18). There are many myths about sexual harassment that cause people to stereotype potential attackers.
