The Hunger Games is a popular novel written by Suzanne Collins. In the story, a sixteen-year-old girl named Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister's place in the annual Hunger Games. The games are a competition in which children are randomly drawn to fight to the death. They are designed by the Capitol, the government power. The Middle East's fight against nuclear energy is very important. At first glance, these two events may not seem to have much in common, but when looking at the more specific elements of both, many similarities can be found. Competition footage in The Hunger Games can show how biases in documentaries about important political topics. A young male created a documentary about the state of nuclear issues in the Middle East. The documentary was titled The Unclear Truth. The film was also the first winner of the Tehran International Festival of Independent Filmmakers in 2012. This documentary interviews many different members of society and their opinions on the modern struggle in the Middle East. The film is very biased in the sense that it only gives one side of the story. The interviewees come from Middle Eastern countries who believe that Palestine must be liberated and that all violence must end. Most of these people, however, blame everything that is going wrong on America or England. The title of the documentary causes most to stop and consider a very important question even before seeing the film. Why is the truth unclear? The truth should be any opinion or statement made public. The truth should never be dark. The truth is something everyone clings to. Truth is one of the few topics in life that people depend on for integrity. The truth should embody sworn testimony that c... in the middle of the paper... there is not a person who can argue every side of the issue. If only a part is represented, it is partial and not good. Hunger Games readers understand how Hunger Games footage can be manipulated. They can then take this information with them if and when they see a documentary that highlights a very popular, and likely political, topic. Documentaries can be edited to the director's liking. It makes the truth unclear. This should never happen. The truth should be healthy. Documentary viewers may be familiar with The Hunger Games video editing.
