Why is fast food considered harmful? McDonald's, Burger King, Pizza Hut and Wendy's feed every hungry individual who gives them business, what's so harmful about that? If the right service is provided, most customers will leave satisfied and with full bellies. Behind all the satisfaction of fast food there can be a negative impact on the human body, obesity is the main target. Fast food is satisfying, but the health problem is not as satisfying. “Fast food is much worse than most people imagine” (naturalnews.com). The taste can make anyone lose focus on their health. As people constantly enjoy fast food, they put their bodies at risk for obesity, diabetes, and even heart disease. “Over a third of the adult population is overweight or obese” (Carolyn Robbins, Eating fast food is bad for your health) . Many fast food meals contain the daily equivalent of recommended calories in one meal. Since fast food has almost more than two thousand calories, it is no surprise that all fingers are pointing towards fast food businesses. Individuals eat fast food at least twice a day even when they know the facts about fast food. Knowing that harmful foods are rich in salts and fats, almost everyone will continue to eat those products. As the blame for obesity has fallen on fast food industries, restaurants have alternated food preparation to reduce calories. These alternations might seem healthier, but the fact is that it is not. These foods contain trans fats from the factors that prepared them for fast food. Fatty acids are already put into many products, so switching up the menu to look healthy doesn't really solve America's obesity problem. Obesity is the main target in America, but it is not... middle of paper... high cholesterol, killing your heart with this famous fast food. America is aware of all the health problems, but is playing hardball with the facts. It turns out that fast food is so tasty and at the same time convenient that no one stops to think about the consequences for their own body or that of their children. Fast food is so harmful to the body, no matter what food alternatives the industries try to modify, the trans fats to make the food will remain in the pre-packaged ingredients. Fast food has practically become a waste for the human body. Every meal consumed by the person takes in toxic substances that harm the body. If America knows the cause of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease, why do we continue to keep every fast food industry in business? Until America stops putting waste in their mouths, fast food restaurants will continue to make millions of dollars and America will continue to kill their bodies..
