Day 2 The Hobbit begins in a hobbit hole, one within the Hill. Inside the hole lives Bilbo Baggins, whose story is told in third-person omniscient. But as I was saying, Bilbo comes from a line of Baggins who are respected and expected to do anything out of the ordinary, so they were respected. Then one day Gandalf, the wizard, comes to tell him about an adventure. Bilbo resists because he is used to this lifestyle but Gandalf thinks differently. He leaves a symbol on the door that leads him and the thirteenth dwarf to the hole. One of the most important dwarves, Thorin, is the leader. His quest to regain their home, the Lonely Mountain. The chaos that ensues in Bilbo's house is crazy enough, but he doesn't deny them entry because that would be rude. During the unexpected party, Gandalf reveals that Bilbo is the fourteenth member and will specialize in burglaries. Bilbo finally accepts the offer. In the morning the dwarves are gone but Gandalf is still there. He tells Bilbo that they have set out on a quest to destroy the evil dragon, Smaug, who has conquered their homeland. With a sudden burst of interest, Bilbo runs as fast as he can to catch up. On his first display of true skill, he encountered some very dull-headed trolls. He gets caught by them trying to pickpocket and gets the others caught too. Gandalf returns and tricks the trolls into staying out until dawn and then turning to stone. The party is now free and finally loots the troll cave, and much has been found. The next morning they leave the cave and bury the gold. As they leave, Gandalf says that he was exploring and found that there were trolls nearby and that's why he knew he should return. Day three: Hello, Bilbo. Today I will ask you a......middle of paper......gThe dead are now buried and Dain is King under the Mountain. The kingdoms of dwarves, elves and humans are now at peace. Bard is the lord of Lake Town and gives Bilbo a fair share of his treasure. Soon it is time for Bilbo to go to his hobbit hole. They spend much of the winter at Beorn's house and then continue to Rivendell. There, Gandalf and Elrond exchange stories while Bilbo heals. The hobbit then learns that the reason Gandalf left the company near Mirkwood was to ride the Necromancer's forest. Eventually, Bilbo and Gandalf reach Bilbo's lair but with a surprise. He was presumed dead with the house and items auctioned off. He gets most of the articles but will never be seen the same way again. The hobbits know that they see him as an outcast but he doesn't care. Now he has a wizard, elves and dwarves coming to visit him and he no longer feels the need for the average hobbit.
