Mondragon cooperatives manage and develop mixed cooperative societies from the heart of the Basque Country in Spain to other countries. Mondragon's cooperative societies have high-quality skilled workers, and the creation of job opportunities has followed the organization of union members locally and globally. The background of Mondragon cooperatives started the reason to restore and develop the local population and business activities in the Basque region in Spain, found by a Catholic priest José María Arizmendiarrieta after the civil war in Spain. He and his students thought that cooperatives resolved the stagnation of the local economy to intensify the social revolution in the Basque region. The Mondragon cooperative was founded by him and his students with the aim of establishing training and learning schools for the unemployed and young people in the local economy. They developed cooperative societies to pool the failures of neighboring businesses and to meet the needs of the social problems of the local economy in the Basque region of Spain. When companies from other countries could be added to the Spanish market, the Mondragon cooperative decided to adapt the flow of time between local and global.
