Statement of PurposeWhen I was ten years old, my uncle from the United States gave my sister and me an expensive remote-controlled puppy. Like all gifts given to both of us, it didn't last long. We both wanted this for ourselves. But then the scenario was different, I felt at the same time the sense of guilt and the strong need to do something about the damaged toy. I opened the RC Puppy with the necessary tools and there I was shocked by what I saw, a small green board with holes and little things that I couldn't understand. I had to understand what I didn't already know and then I started my journey towards electronics and technology. This was my first major question for my trip. Till my 8th standard I had acquired good knowledge of mathematics subject, I had taken an Abacus course to improve my calculation speed and accuracy. My father being a software engineer, I was fortunate enough to accompany him to the United States for a two-year stay and that's where I attended 9th and 10th grade school. I had begun to appreciate the American education system. I had to return to India for my intermediate studies (11th and 12th grade) and faced some problems trying to cope with the syllabus there, most of which I had no chance of knowing about as I had a course structure different in the United States. I struggled during my first year at intermediate level, but my relentless efforts and strong willpower earned me a distinction at intermediate level with majors in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. From then on, my goal became to study at well-established, research-oriented universities like yours, right from the start of a new phase of my life. My college education has helped me to understand various electrical concepts both in theory... ..middle paper ......converging me on the path to share my knowledge with everyone. I plan to undertake graduate studies that will eventually lead to a doctorate and share my knowledge through a career in academia. This action plan gives me the opportunity to inspire future generations to continually explore, discover, innovate and enrich their lives. Aspiring for broader learning opportunities and advanced research in new technologies, the University of Texas at Dallas offers the right avenues and opportunities. As Sir Isaac Newton once stated: "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants", I feel that I would benefit greatly from working under the guidance of the expert professors at your University and am very excited to have the opportunity to study in the your renowned university and I look forward to being a part of your school.
