This problem occurs every day and with over 77% of students being victims of verbal, mental and physical bullying. Ashley Cohen states in her article that there are two forms of bullying; direct and indirect (2). Hitting, kicking and pushing are examples of physical violence, a form of direct bullying. Verbal bullying is a harmful insult, teasing, and teasing. Indirect bullying involves the bully eugenically isolating a student, spreading harmful rumors, and public humiliation. Every day an average of 160,000 students miss school due to bullying or fear of humiliation.
