It was a normal day in the Arathi Basin. To fuel a war, we need resources; to win a war you have to eliminate the enemy. Luckily for us, this battlefield boasts both concepts. While others destroy each other, wave after wave, we must conquer the land that will help them. This, of course, is also done by killing enemies, team after team. A team isn't dragged into the pool out of nowhere, after you request your turn, you have to wait for it. But this is not a standard job with set shifts. As a volunteer, you come in when you're called and leave when you're done. The game begins when civilians are attacked. At that point the battle begins. In about sixty seconds after an assault, the enemy can not only destroy all our civilians, but also replace them with their own. You need to be able to gain around two thousand resources before the enemy has no chance of winning. At that point the game is over and you have to wait once again for the moment to arrive. Now that the challenge was presented, I accepted the job. Our story takes place during basic training, when you need to attack every point at least once, because otherwise you are not a real fighter. When the war drums sound and the gates of the Defiler's Den open, the game begins. It was a bumpy start before the Defilers actually became friends with me, but it was worth it in the end. The game started like any other: teams running, casting spells, blades clashing, territory control. In the end the only thing that matters is victory. I started not knowing when what to do. This place was foreign to me; I was just following others around.
