On April 20, 1999, in a small town of Littleton, Colorado, two high school students named Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris carried out the their plan to kill hundreds of their fellow students. With a multitude of guns, knives and bombs, they walked down the halls of Columbine High School and began their massacre. In the end, twelve students, a teacher, and the assassins died and twenty-one others were injured. Klebold and Harris were both very intelligent kids who came from strong families. Both boys had also played sports and enjoyed working with computers. The reason for the school shooting is not very clear. One reason speculated was the influence of the highly violent video game Doom (Rosenburg). The video game Doom is about the main protagonist, DoomGuy, the toughest marine you have ever seen. After assaulting his commanding officer for attempting to order him to open fire on innocent civilians, he was sent to Mars as punishment. Meanwhile, evil has emerged from the depths of the red planet. As the only combat-ready soldiers in a million miles, it is his and his teammates' duty to track down and kill a variety of evil creatures; like murderous demonic minotaurs, robot spiders, and meatball-looking demons. While DoomGuy was on guard duty, his team was brutally killed by the red planet's numerous creatures. Now it's up to DoomGuy to cleanse the planet of evil and his only drawback is that his teammates have taken all the weapons and all DoomGuy has left is a gun.
