Hanging Out That Saturday morning was sunny and bright when Kimberly went out for a morning walk. He didn't run every day and this day was one of those days. She always liked early mornings because everything was fresh and the air smelled of forest leaves. He took a sip of coffee from his travel mug and left. It was his time to think and plan his day. But planning his day that day proved difficult because he couldn't get what was happening in Oakwood Forest out of his mind. But until Honeysuckle goes into labor there's not much that can be done for her or anyone else. He had to wait. Lucinda got up early, as she usually did. He got dressed, peeked into Jackie's room (still asleep as usual) and then came downstairs. He made a bowl of cereal and went out to the back porch to sit and eat. When he went out onto the porch he found his father already there strumming his guitar. He paused as Lucinda exited. “You're up early, Dad,” Lucinda said. “I couldn't sleep,” he said. “I know what you mean,” Lucinda said, “It took me a while to fall asleep.” last night. Too much is happening. Too many incredible things.” Steve started strumming again. He played guitar in a band before attending medical school. He played guitar and was the lead singer. He taught himself to play when he was in high school and became an excellent musician. But since he became a doctor he only played to relax. “Sing me a song, Daddy,” Lucinda asked. “Hmmm. Let me think about it," his father said. “Okay, I wrote this several years ago, but no one ever heard it because I didn't want everyone in the house laughing at me! ... Let me think about how it goes for a second... Okay, this one is called:Frog SongsIn the rain in the mud there was a frog,In the mud near the fra...... middle of paper...... from the eye "It was beautiful," said Ambur. Frances stood up quietly and said, “Lucinda, don't you think we should go home?” “Yes, Frances. Thanks for playing it. It was beautiful." They gathered their things and headed for the stairs. Honeysuckle and Ambur had both gone towards the stairs to escort them out. Honeysuckle hugged each girl and whispered in Frances' ear, "Thank you so much for playing today. I never imagined a piano could sound like that. You were wonderful." “Thank you, Ambur, for allowing us to visit,” Lucinda said. “Please let us know as soon as Honeysuckle goes into labor.” “Of course,” Ambur said. '." Ambur smiled and said, "Be careful, you two!" It wasn't long before the two girls returned home. Once again, in record time.
