It's December 1801 and the entire town is decorating, dancing, singing and laughing as they prepare for an upcoming holiday: Christmas. Everyone except a pessimistic and stubborn cripple. His name is Ebenezer Scrooge, a weakened old male wrapped in dark clothes. He can usually be found walking the streets of Victorian London with poor posture, his eyes fixed on the cracked pavement beneath the soles of his shoes. Collapsing, the carolers stop singing near him and no one speaks when in his presence. Scrooge is a prejudiced businessman who is quick to be left alone and ignores cheerfulness. He is stubborn and blind to the consequences of his actions. Sudden wealth brings with it a snobbery when his business partner dies and, as a result, his one true love divorces him, sending him into a state of hatred and remorse. With this supporting evidence, Scrooge can be perceived as a negative and paralyzing man with little tolerance for change.
