Topic > Case Study: Schneider Electric - 1452

Politics and conflicts exist in all organizations, and Schneider Electric is no exception. Being a French multinational, with a local presence, the company's influence on local senior management and decision-making plays an important role. Favoritism and groupism exist but are at a minimum level. Elements of regional partiality are found on very few occasions in which the team leader uses the power assigned to him in order to obtain advantages that go beyond his legitimate authority regardless of merit. However, Schneider believes in transparency so that the employee can express their complaints every day at any time through an HR-Team proposing channel. Issues and problems are resolved within the department itself in case of dissatisfaction with a particular act. Every quarter there is a 3600 survey that gives the subordinate a chance to talk about his manager and also the company. Not for fun, the company intranet carries out a daily survey to gauge the mood of the day. (1)Group dynamics/Team building initiatives/Employee
