It must seem like a very ordinary thing now, but for a third grader it was very fascinating to imagine how one click on a computer could bring the entire world onto the screen. This fascination developed my curiosity towards computers from an early age. And before I knew it, my parents recognized my inner potential and bought me a computer in times when it definitely wasn't a household name. If I remember correctly, I was among the very few to have a PC and for me it wasn't an application device but it was a whole new world of opportunities. Today, when I look back, I knew I had the vision within me to participate in the global movements of technology. All this was possible thanks to the environment in which I was exposed to frequent discussions on the global stock market, economic policies, the importance of technology and entrepreneurship. My education was a perfect blend of academics, sports and extracurricular activities. Since my school days I have always been curious about how things and processes work inside a computer. My education introduced me to mathematics, Pascal, HTML and database management [MS Access] and thus my inclination towards the computer related field became stronger. My knowledge and mastery of mathematics, science and other logical subjects helped me to score 88.86% in 10th grade, 81.40% in 12th grade. This allowed me to get admitted to graduate in Computer Engineering at Nirma University, one of the prestigious institutes in India. My undergraduate course covered almost the entire spectrum of basic technical courses of computer science and programming, except for the topic "Mobile Computing" and the fundamentals of database systems in the subjects "Database Management System" became my area of interest... half of the job... which I have always wanted to learn and I certainly think that university studies are absolutely essential to better myself. Initially, I was a little confused about which university to choose, but after looking at the profile of Jernej Barbic, whose research area of interests is computer graphics, animation and simulation; I got a firm and positive opinion about studying and working under the guidance of the USC professor. Also, I am very motivated towards the MS CS program at USC and it suits me better. I hope my credentials are adequate enough for admission into the MS CS program. After completion of my master's program, I intend to pursue my PhD. program at your university and I am quite confident that it will enable me to contribute greatly to the development of the University, society and the world at large. Thank you for considering my question.
