Many, many people fit characters into a common plot. Think of it like a book series like Game of Thrones, where each chapter is told from a different character's point of view. It's the same with prose [RP], except each character is written entirely by a different author. (Wyza) What makes it different from other types of role-playing games, such as large-scale MMOs and LARPing, is that, as Wzya says, “…[P]rose [RP] doesn't take on a particular character on a person. The writer is separate from the character and therefore can have many characters interacting simultaneously in the world…” In many other mediums, the relationship between character and creator is very close, where as in the prose role-playing game author and character are two completely separate ones entities – puppets rather than
