That's not Christian. First, as the company grows and Shania needs to hire employees, she should only hire Christians. Carlos is right that the “Christian thing” has potential, but Christ won’t shine through him, which is what Shania would most likely want in an employee. As Matthew 5:14 [NKJV] states, “You are the light of the world.” Shania would like employees to be the salt and light for unbelieving customers coming into the business. Another problem with hiring Carlos is that he is Shania's neighbor. If he was hired and the job didn't work out, there may be tension between them and their families. Carlos is better off looking for a second job
