Introduction People have always wondered about divorce and its causes and effects. When I was a little girl I asked myself: "why do people get married if they will divorce in the future?". As I grew up I realized that anyone can get divorced. Divorce has become a growing phenomenon across the world. Fourteen weeks ago I didn't know the true definition of divorce and I didn't expect to discover all these surprising facts, findings and statistics. I chose this topic because it was the only opportunity to find out men's opinions on divorce and also women's. Divorce is similar to marriage. It has negative and positive outcomes. Divorce is absolutely legal but also differs regarding the reasons. While couples in Arab countries must provide the court with logical and rational reasons for obtaining a divorce, couples in non-Arab countries do not have to provide any reasons. In other words, given tangible evidence, couples in Arab countries will divorce easily. Survey Results The survey was conducted via Google Forms and distributed to Qatar University students via Blackboard's email system prior to October. It was also spread on social sites, such as Facebook and Twitter. Analyzing the data was extremely easy because I had received 72 responses. Even though the survey was sent to 100 people, half of them were women and the other half were men, the percentage of women interviewed was greater than the percentage of men interviewed which means that women seem to be more interested in the topic because almost all responded to the survey. The majority of male respondents were between the ages of 16 and 19 (46%). Other males ranged in age from 19 to 25. Unlike mal...... middle of paper...... I have noticed that today's situations and conditions also have a huge impact on people's way of thinking and relationships. In fact, the majority of women and men believed that different political opinions could lead to divorce. Ultimately, from my point of view, I think people should not discuss these kinds of topics because they will face disputes and separations. It is recommended to leave these types of topics to politicians and professionals. If I had the opportunity to repeat the survey and project, I would add more options, higher-level questions, and more advanced answers. I must have done an interview with students whose parents recently divorced, asking them various and unexpected questions. I should have had an interview with a lawyer too. Asking the lawyers several questions about the divorce and its reasons could help me get more information.
