They need to have access to things like exercise, religious activities and reading, if they want to get closer to God, this could help them spiritually, even if not they have no chance of getting out of prison. They should also be allowed to work to make money to buy things like tobacco products, the work they do should benefit society, like cleaning the streets, producing things the state sells like license plates. They definitely need a minimum number of working hours per week, but they can work more if they want. They need to have about an hour a day of free time where they can practice and talk to others. If they do something that gets them into trouble, depending on the act they committed, they should lose all recess time and be locked up in solitary confinement for a period depending on the act they committed. Those who will remain locked up for the rest of their lives will not need to suffer any kind of torture. The only punishment they should suffer is imprisonment and, if they commit a bad deed inside, solitary confinement. The only prisoners who need to be punished in the United States are terrorists or people who know something that could save their lives
