I didn't realize that the social factor was actually a big deal. People with only a high school diploma are eight times more likely to depend on public assistance programs than college graduates. I think not being dependent on public assistance is good. We don't need everyone to live on welfare. We need more people to get a college degree and also want to work. “For every high school student who attends college, society saves $48,600 over her lifetime. For every African American male who finishes college instead of dropping out of high school, society saves $294,000” (Top 10…). Since the woman decided to attend university she receives a better education and will not live on public assistance and society saves a lot of money. If everyone went to college society could save a lot more money. University is a very important thing. If you go to college you will most likely get better pay in your career. Plus, with a college degree, you have more opportunities. Everything I said is true and is why I believe everyone should go to college. College is actually a great thing for people to do. It just takes a little effort and time. If everyone went to college, society would save a lot of money and they would have a better chance of being healthier. And if college cost money, it wouldn't be worth it?
