These traits have helped me achieve many professional and educational goals, as well as develop lasting relationships that have supported me through my senior year. It seems that hard work and determination are essential to achieving almost any goal a leader sets his sights on. I hope that these characteristics will help me persevere in the difficult moments that life and school will impose on me. I therefore hope to use my strengths to help me steer the course of my educational and personal goals, thus learning to guide others and myself through turbulent times with grace and dignity. As a result, my greatest weaknesses and obstacles in leading myself and others are my stubbornness and hesitation to recognize when I'm wrong. Good leaders need to know when to admit they are wrong, thus allowing them to reevaluate the situation and ask for help if necessary. It seems that effective leaders know where their weaknesses lie and can ask for help when needed. This helps them effectively accomplish tasks that lead to long-term goals because they know what they can and cannot do. I tend to be a control freak and want to do everything myself, and that's not an effective way to lead. I will have to learn to trust and rely on others to shoot
