Nanomedicine: A Small World Today, medical technology is advancing faster than ever allowing for easier, faster, and simpler advances in medical devices, procedures, and diagnosis. Medical devices also continue to get smaller; very, very small: the size of a nanometer. Nanotechnology is the technology that controls matter at the molecular level. Medical procedures will become more efficient by targeting diseases and repairing damaged tissues at the molecular level using nanoparticles. Scientists are also working on creating nanorobots to improve tools used in medical procedures.
