For me Jesus is God, so my life depends on Him, He controls it. When I'm in trouble or going through a tough time in life, Jesus is the name I call for help. For example, when I was younger, my family worshiped different deities and they had to make sacrifices every year. In these sacrifices they had to give food to the gods, they had to kill animals to give them to the gods. One year my mother had no money to make the sacrifice, so the gods would kill me for it. I was sick for about two months. My mother had to borrow money from people to do what the gods asked her to do, in order for me to survive. However, when I become a Christian, things like that no longer happen because my life is controlled by Jesus, so the other gods can no longer do anything to me. Another example, when I was in Haiti, I was going through difficult times, I didn't know what to do. I had no place to stay and food to eat because my father had a job, and one night I prayed, asked Jesus for help and he helped me. The same week I prayed, my father found a job and a cheap apartment for us to stay in. I believe Jesus answers my prayer. I believe there is power in the name of
