Physical pain does not have many triggers for a repeat, while emotional pain leaves numerous amounts of reminders and triggers. When we have a cut we apply medicine to make us feel better and help your body heal (positive). Since physical pain can also be used as a distraction from emotional pain. Some of you may know that teenagers and/or adults have a habit of "cutting" their skin with a sharp object causing physical pain, to distract from emotional pain. In the long term, this won't solve your problem: the pain may tend to get worse the longer you decide not to address the problem. Emotional pain: We do little to protect our self-esteem when it is low. Many times people don't use positive results as a long-term distraction. We have grown up in a world where others begin to ignore the situation, smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol and/or use drugs. In the long term, this won't solve your problem: the pain may tend to get worse the longer you decide not to address the problem. A positive way to deal with emotional pain and/or physical pain issues could be therapy, focusing on your strengths, apologizing and/or forgiving yourself in times of guilt, and don't forget to remind yourself same that you are more aware of what you feel. your mistakes compared to someone else
