Topic > essay that tells the truth - 812

Morality itself can be interpreted in a few ways, one way is right or wrong. Another way can be quality or character. while for honesty it has only one true meaning and that is to be sincere, but when we put these words together "the morality of honesty" they tell us more than just a meaning, they make us wonder whether or not the quality we have within us as human being is truly honest or not. In the following article I will argue AGAINST telling the truth. We as human beings often tend to do the right things not because we think it is right or even think there is such a thing as right or wrong, but because we are told it is right. The same goes for telling the truth, our society is full of opinions and it is almost impossible to get everyone on the same table, because everyone is so caught up in their own way of thinking and this can lead us to become defensive even just to hear others say it . I believe this ethical issue is important to discuss because most people only see one side of the issue. “The right side” When we take a stand on something we must see both sides of the issue. By seeing both sides we can try to find a good solution, because in the end our consequences really matter. The great purpose of morality is to make the world a better place, but that doesn't necessarily happen when we only have one option. . Telling a truth cannot be seen in the same balance as telling a lie. They are both opinions of different human beings. The fundamental difference is that when we tell a lie the consequence of that action we have taken will most likely bring us benefits, for example a man came to your house asking where your friend is, because he wants to kill him. What would you do? In a situation like this...... middle of paper...... being able to apply it to the daily part of our lives'' the problem is that the virtues that ethics see with the valves that are given to us, we must be able to apply these valves as a duty. Nature gives us values, the difference lies in how we apply them to our lives. Telling the truth won't work because values aren't just words full of statements, it's a way to see the difference between good and best, being an empty, knowledgeable human being. When we tell the truth we don't use our values because if we did we would think before saying a word, we see both sides instead we just take a straight line. I believe that by being dishonest we can form a better society because we're using our values to lead us towards a better and more aware society. The main point I want to make is that our values play a huge role in our daily lives and the more wisely we use them, the better it will be.
