Illegal immigration is slowly increasing in the United States. As Dianne Solis states, “In 2012, Texas had about 1.7 million immigrants who were in the United States illegally, compared to about 1.5 million before the recession began in 2007.” Every year the percentage of illegal immigration continues to increase, because they cross the border without any permit. Many people believe that some illegal immigrants are not criminals and that they only came to America to work. That's not true, believe it or not, not all illegal immigrants enter the United States to find work. However, if they want to work, they have already committed a crime by entering the United States illegally. Therefore, illegal immigration benefits the U.S. economy through additional sex trafficking, government assistance, and low wages. Sex trafficking is the real immigration problem and is one of the most heinous crimes. There are thousands of innocent women, men and children trafficked from all areas of the world and used as slaves. Many of these victims are coerced, purchased into prostitution, forced labor, and sold into sex slavery, slavery, and other forms of servitude to pay off debts. Sex traffickers are a major destination in the United States According to “Human Trafficking – Exploitation of Illegal Aliens,” “An estimated 14,500 to 17,500 foreign nationals are trafficked into the United States each year. Trafficking is the recruitment and transportation of people within or across borders by force, fraud or deception for the purpose of economic exploitation. Victims are lured with false promises of good jobs and better lives, and then forced to work in brutal and inhumane conditions. Trafficking victims ... half of the paper ... nationwide have concluded that immigration has a negative impact on the wages of natives in competition with immigrants.3 I also examine the impact of immigration at the national level, but introduces a new methodological approach. I will examine how wages for specific skill groups have evolved during the period 1960-2000. I will demonstrate that by analyzing national trends in the labor market and defining the skill groups in terms of both educational attainment and work experience, substantial progress can be made in determining whether immigration alters the employment and earnings opportunities of native-born workers,” says Borjas Current. immigration has significantly increased the relative share of the supply of high school dropouts. The implications of this increase on job promotion clearly depend on how the supply of job knowledge in the immigrant population contrasts with that of citizens.
