“If we challenge the past, we will learn that for us “Style” no longer exists, that a style belonging to our era was born; and there was a revolution” - Le Corbusier (Corbusier, 1986)After a period of time, the revolution of Modernism, Constructivism and Neorealism were still ongoing. Modernism had the longest history in the development of architecture, which became the main influence of the style in architecture and furniture. However, there were still many architects who explored modernism and formed their own style and theory of architecture, adding symbolic elements in structure and a variety of colors. I believe that another generation will develop in the future, to create a different world soon. Just like the moment Mie Vander Rohe said "Less is more", it determines the quarters of view from the horizon, which make our city more colorful. This essay will introduce the different approach in modern architecture through different architects: Le Corbusier and Tadao Andò. Le Corbusier is one of the cornerstones of architecture; he is also a sociologist, our lifestyle and architecture have been most influenced by him, since the end of the Second World War. Tadao Ando was one of the architects who influenced Le Corbusier. Le Corbusier and Tadao Ando both built a church that, in some way related, shows the development of technology through architectural structure, materials and form.
