It was the middle of the night and I was absolutely bored out of my mind. It was a Saturday night and I had homework to do for next Monday. I was only a couple of weeks away from graduation, so I had to do my best, but that didn't make the homework any easier. I was scrolling through pages of information on the topic I was studying when my phone rang. I grabbed my phone and swiped the answer button only to hear my frantic friend on the line. “I need to talk to you,” came his voice, shaking. He was crying. I groaned and told her I would be leaving soon. Probably boyfriend problems, once again. I stood up, straightening my pajamas and pulling a hoodie over my t-shirt. I left my room, moving around the living room furniture as quietly as possible to avoid waking my parents. I walked out the front door, closing it gently and turning the lock. As I walked down the porch steps I heard a light rustling sound. I took a quick look at the entire surrounding area only to find a small stray cat wandering around in the bushes. "Go away!" I whispered loudly to the cat and he walked off in another direction. I had just made it to the road when I realized I was being followed. I immediately broke into a sprint but it was almost like I wasn't moving at all. The figure was following me and the shadow it cast seemed to get closer and closer, trailing gracefully behind me almost merging with my own shadow. I ran even faster, but he was faster. A tall, thin man with dark hair stared back at me, stopping me in my tracks. Even in the dim light of the streetlights I could tell it was beautiful. One of the most beautiful things I had ever seen. I knew I should run but I couldn't. I stared mindlessly at his... center of the paper... hand took mine. No. Stop. What are you doing? Take control! I screamed at myself as the stranger continued, my body deceiving me, taking pleasure in the things that happened. After a while my body took control, flooded with emotions at what he was doing. I didn't like it, but my body didn't know that, and my body tricked me once again when I hugged it. I let out a little moan right before the kisses ended. It stopped and was replaced with something else. Teeth. I felt sharp fangs piercing my neck instead of the gentle bites I felt before. "Stop it! You hurt me" I murmured, but he didn't stop, he didn't even move. I cried, trying to escape, I knew I couldn't, but I would try anyway. I was getting weaker. Too much blood was drawn. I gasped once more before going limp. The darkness was swirling towards me and I welcomed it.
