Universal Serial Bus (USB) is the technical standard that governs how devices communicate with your computer or other peripherals. It features a standardized port designed to accommodate different types of hardware devices such as digital cameras, printers, scanners, flash drives, cell phones, iPods, and MP3 players (ALLUSB 2014). USB was co-invented by Ajay Bhatt, a computer architect working for Intel.
