Gays and lesbians should have the same rights as everyone else in America. They are being distanced from their rights due to some rumors that Christian observers have speculated due to their religious morals. I think gay and lesbian people should have their rights because they are not as horrible as Christian officials make them out to be. Gay and lesbian people should be allowed to adopt children; therefore, revealing the lies behind the rumors about why gay and lesbian people are not allowed to adopt children will help us to better reason why they should be allowed to have children systematically. When looking at criminal records involving child molestation, there is a greater than 100% chance that heterosexual people fall into this category. Since this evidence is fact, it disproves the rumor that "gay [and lesbian] people are more likely to rape the children they adopt." Typically, when people are forced to make assumptions based on how others live, they are motivated by past or religious influence; therefore, getting them hired quickly on a topic like this. Studies by Morehouse University's Psychological Theories Group show that fewer than 13 percent of married same-sex couples have difficulty raising their opposite sex; while 32%, coming from the same state, have difficulty raising their only child with the presence of both sexes in the home. Typically, when people are denied their rights due to fear of others, the stress begins to become overwhelming and they begin to align with that person's expectations; however, with gay and lesbian people, they are engaging more than the average straight person… middle of the paper… because of what you have learned. Violence or discrimination against a group of people comes primarily from confusion, and in confusion arises blind actions out of fear of what appears to be unknown.
